The travel experts at Canada’s leading online travel agency Flight Network recently released their list of Europe’s 21 most intimate music festivals for 2017, and we're very pleased Pukkelpop was exposed.
The Flight Network team searched Europe far and wide for the music festivals that forego over-the-top pricing and trampling crowds for under-the-radar festivals that offer big entertainment in a low-key setting. The list, which is in chronological order, places Pukkelpop at No. 16. “It’s not too often you get to be up close and personal with the likes of Ryan Adams, Mumford & Sons and Bastille. But Pukkelpop, despite its seriously A-list roster of performers on the docket this year, is the rare music festival that manages to showcase arena-worthy talent in an intimate setting,” Flight Network’s writers said.
Flight Network also praises Pukkelpop for its relaxed atmosphere, affordable passes and impressive international food court. The festival’s location -- Hasselt, Belgium -- is also admired for its car-free town centre, historic streets and abundance of tourist sites to visit before or after the festivities.
Taking place Aug. 16-19, this year, Pukkelpop is the place to be for those who want to catch some of the world’s largest music and entertainment acts up close and personally and in one of the Old World’s coolest cities.
