2. What are cookies?

The Belgian Telecommunications Act contains a number of provisions on cookies and their use on websites. The Belgian implementation is derived from the European e-Privacy directive, which implies that the cookie use and cookie laws are regulated differently in each European country. Point “7. I don´t come from Belgium. Is a different form of consent required for my country?" gives you an overview of how each European country implements the cookie legislation
3. What are these cookies good for?
Pukkelpop wishes to inform you as well as possible about this new legislation, and about the cookies it uses. Cookies help Pukkelpop to optimise your visit to the website, to remember technical choices (for example a language choice, a newsletter, etc.), and to show you more relevant services and special offers.
If you’d like to consult the Pukkelpop website, it is recommended that you activate the cookies. However, if you prefer not to do so, you are free to switch them off (see also the point "How can I manage my cookies?").

6. I don´t come from Belgium. Is a different form of consent required for my country?
Pukkelpop is a branch of an internationally-known company or group, and it is possible that not only Belgian nationals visit the website. The European Member States often implement the cookie legislation very differently, so that for the User it is difficult to see how his or her consent has to be given.
